Hard to justify the price when Pump 85 is $3 a gallon.
Then you are over fueling. Getting too much ethanol and n the oil. Another reason not to run it. Engine wear. Same with the drag engines I’ve worked with.
Over 20-25psi of boost, sure get the good stuff. For me a Turbo LS shitbox on the street, pump E85 is all I need

$13.40 per gallon for X85L and $17.00 per gallon for C85 compared to $3.35 per gallon for pump shell where I live. Your prices are higher then giraffe pussy for what little increase of performance you get.
427 CI is the optimum capacity.
I had Sunoco e85 sealed in 5 gallon drums stored in a cool location go bad within a year

Best advertisement ever for pump e85. I think pump e85 is all you need. If you need more power just add 1or 2 lbs of boost. We’re already making 1300 hp on a 6.0 at 24 pounds pump E85. Not much need to change fuel change fuel, especially since pump e85 here in California is so cheap and test out exactly 85% ethanol. I’m sure e98 or c85 will make a lot more power boosted but can’t justify the cost. We’re already making as much power as the chassis can handle.
You sure it’s always 85? I live in Indiana where a lot of corn is grown, and I know ours is not always 85 percent. I’m even lucky enough to live by an ethanol plant called ibec that’s has a pump and it’s e90 all summer long but drops sometimes in the winter. With vp and sunco. You know it’s always the percentage they say, where as the pump is not always consistent

C85 can make more but not standard x85. Maybe x85L can due extra octane. I doubt x98 will make more.
E85 works perfect .. I make 950 hp on my GTR … all stock components… NA motors ..total waste… for VP…

Paying for a fuel like X98 just to pick up 15HP, along with needing to change your base fuel just flat out isn't worth it for the large majority of people. You're wayy more financially better off taking 75lbs of weight off the car or throwing a cheap dry kit on and spraying a 50 shot.
Better do a cylinder leak test before you wrap it with a Corvette. Lot of breather action.

Ok, so these are basically souped up blends. Of course, they will make more power. Also, an independent test from an unbiased 3rd party makes more sense without the manufacturer present. IMHO, pump E85 with content E sensor and flex fuel is the most cost effective. If need be add some X98 to bring it up in ethanol %.
Looking at their pamphlet, VP always claims X% over other fuels. I've never seen real gains other than CHP+ and Q-16. C-12 compared to VP113 were identical in my combo, with C-12 taking the win as a fuel you can forget practically for years in the cell whereas the VP113 has special storage requirements. FWIW all the Q-16 tests I've run were worth 5 to 15 HP over the base fuel the engine was tested on.
I have ran pump e85, c85, and One ethanol R in my new 13:1 voodoo and the car loves c85 the best. Runs better, sounds better, makes more power and the burn is significantly better in my application. Nothing bad to say about One R, but the octane is a bit too high for my application, and seems to make my throttle a little sluggish, and the burn doesn’t seem as complete. Sticking to c85 all the way
C85 contains nitro methane

the pump E85 near me tests regularly 65-75%Eth. These fuels are far more consistent and higher rated. worth the $$ when it counts.

In N/A form, you won't see too much difference, but, when it's boosted or nitrous, it's night and day difference.....
True however us N/A guys like that we can get 30hp just by switching fuel, also can increase compression to 14:1😊

Does a 4.125 crank leave enough space for some oil squirter? I have a L8T block than Id like to do a 4.125 stroker with it. I couldn't find much info on those newer blocks ...same things for direct injected pistons designed for 4.125 stroke. Would need to be costum pistons?

Most LS guys are looking for more independent test on the stock LS3 vs ported rodmod vs the non-high rise Performance Design XS on close to stock LS3 displacement 6.2. Seems some people are not finding the same real-world results or numbers.
Got a l77 if im going a mild cam just a little step up from the stock afm cam do I need to upgrade the trunions or will the factory ones be ok
I’m not impressed with the BTR Al all. It’s making factory LS3 numbers.
I run a 315sq setup and you’d be surprised how much grip you still have in the rear with just a 315. That being said, I’ve been very impressed with my Falken RT660 200tw tires I use for autox on my 700whp c6z
